Southern Indiana Gambling Bust
11:43 PM EDT on Wednesday, March 12, 2008
Indiana State Police, gaming and excise officials went into Boomer’s Bar in Austin tonight and found about 50 people playing in a Texas Hold-Em Tournament.
Police say it was illegal, because they paid to play.
Officers seized $1,000 in cash, along with chips, cards and ledgers.
The bar’s owner was arrested on charges of promoting professional gambling.
