Former Seneca quarterback DaMarcus smith will be enrolling at the University of Central Florida for the upcoming football season. DaMarcus asked for a release from his letter of intent from UCF back in march.
DaMarcus told WHAS 11 today that sitting out a year was simply not an option, and that he wanted to honor his commitment. However, it was his initial decision, passing on his UofL commitment on national signing day that DaMarcus says caused this big mess.
DaMarcus said his decision to sign with UCF back in February was ‘not truly his’ and that he was being advised by a number of people at the time.
When asked who was advising him, DaMarcus said he'd rather not comment. Smith says he's working with good friends Anthony Wales of Central High School and DarMontre Warr of Manual High School to help them avoid the situation he faced.
