Jacob Golembeski
Providence High School
As a linebacker on the Pioneers’ football team, Jacob Golembeski finished the season ranked #4 nationally on MaxPreps with 20.3 tackles per game. He was ranked as high as #2 during the season. Jacob led the state of Indiana in tackles his senior year and averaged 20.4 tackles per game his junior year. Jacob is dedicated to his studies, reflected in his 3.51 GPA, and supports the other teams at the school. Brad Burden, a Spanish teacher and Providence girls’ basketball coach, says, “Not only is Jacob a tremendous student-athlete, he is overflowing with school spirit.  He is always organizing a group of guys to go and support the volleyball and soccer teams.  He also is going to head up the student section during basketball.”

Jade Troutman
Bullitt East
Jade plays volleyball and basketball for Bullitt East High School and is a captain for the volleyball team. A lifelong athlete, Jade has played volleyball since she was an 8th grader and has played basketball even longer. She was also a member of the varsity track team until this year.  “She is a positive role model to players on the team. She inspires them to do their best and pushes herself to be the best student and player,” says nominator Michelle Gajdik, the Chargers’ volleyball coach. “Jade is an exceptional person both on and off the court with her enthusiasm and overall positive personality.” With a GPA of 3.98, she is a superior student as well.
