Lacrosse is fastest growing sport in the country and it's growing rapidly here in Louisville.

On Saturday night,  St. Xavier jumped out to a quick 3 goal lead and went on to beat Trinity 8-6 in the boys lacrosse state final. It's the tiger's third straight Kentucky Association State Title. In division 2, Christian Academy beat Manual 9-6 to capture their first state championship.

Now that the school season has come to an end, if you are interested in Club Lacrosse there's a new team here in town. Our GM, Mark Pimentel, helped form a team called LaxVille. It will be coached by Collegiate's head coach Chad Wabrek. The team is for high school aged players including incoming freshman.

Tryouts for LaxVille will take place on May 26th and May 27th at Frederick Law Olmstead Academy North. For more information you can visit their website www.laxville.net.

LaxVille is the third Lacrosse club team in Louisville. The other two are Stickhead (www.stickheadusa.com) and Bluegrass Bats. (www.bluegrassbats.com)
