(WHAS11) - WHAS11 News has learned that Bullitt East High School basketball player Derek Willis has chosen to attend UK over U of L, Indiana University and Purdue.
He said that the choice came down to UK and Purdue but said that his relationship with Coach Calipari was the deciding factor. Willis says that Coach Cal told him he will be able to play multiple positions on the team.
Rivals.com rates Willis as the 23rd overall player in the class of 2013 and Scout.com ranks him 33rd.
