Louisville Ford workers are still voting on proposed contract concessions before a 10 p.m. deadline at the Chamberlain Lane United Auto Workers Hall.
Ford is asking UAW union members nationwide to agree to wage freezes for entry level workers and agree to new terms that would prevent them from striking over wages or benefits.
Two Michigan unions recently rejected the concessions. That has cast new doubt the plan will be approved nationwide. Sunday, UAW International President Ron Gettelfinger came to Louisville to boost support for the contract and clear up misinformation.
Local results are not expected to be announced until tomorrow.
