BUFFALO, Ny. (WHAS11) -- As thousands of teachers face layoffs across the country, teachers in Buffalo, Ny. are getting plastic surgery.
About 3,400 teachers in the city are eligible to get cosmetic surgery under one of their insurance plans.
That means procedures such as Botox, Liposuction and Tummy Tucks are free and there is no deductible.
In 2011 Buffalo schools spent 5.9 million dollars on plastic surgery.
Teachers say they are underpaid and this helps make up the difference.
