Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Students at a local Catholic elementary school are getting big thanks for their efforts to put an end to animal abuse.
The students and faculty at Saint Raphael raised $1,200 for the Arrow Fund.
It helps dogs like Aiden, a black lab.
Aiden was injured after being shot by an arrow in Pike County.
Peek-a-boo, a shepherd mix, was shot by a 22 caliber gun.
Both dogs greeted the students Friday.
"The children at St. Raphael and the facility are the heroes...because dogs like Peek-a-boo are alive because of them and a lot of other organizations that have helped the Arrow fund," says Richie Dunn, Aiden’s new owner.
The arrow fund is continuing to look for veterinarians to help their cause.
