(WHAS11) Louisville Metro 1st division Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of Lytle Street at about 1:15 p.m. Saturday
The victim was a passenger in gray Ford Taurus that was parked in front of 1712 Lytle, while visiting relatives. The driver was a female, and her two year old child was also in the vehicle.
A white male in a white Dodge Dakota pick-up truck began firing into their vehicle. The female driver of the Taurus took off, made it about halfway down the block and crashed into a porch.
She and the child were not shot; they were injured as a result of the wreck. The child was treated and released from Kosair Hospital.
The adults in the vehicle that was shot at were transported to University Hospital, where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
