LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Construction on the Sherman Minton Bridge is ahead of schedule. That means the bridge could be opened before the March 1 deadline.
The Indiana Department of Transportation officials said construction is progressing very nicely.
However, a new re-opening date has not been set.
The Sherman Minton Bridge has been closed since September after several cracks were found in the steel.
