Southern Indiana got hit with more than 6 inches and in some parts the snow is still lightly falling.
Snow continued to trickle down across southern Indiana into the night. At the same time, winds started to pick-up blowing snow back onto roads.
In New Albany, snow plows were trying to clear the main roads but a light dusting of snow kept covering them. The side streets here there were in a lot worse shape and a lot of the roads were never completely cleared and freezing temperatures quickly turned parts of these roads to ice.
But people continued shoveling trying to prevent everything from freezing.
There was not a lot of traffic throughout the day and night in New Albany, it looked like people stayed indoors and some even walked instead of getting into cars.
As it gets later the freezing temperatures and winds are causing more problems for drivers trying to get places.
New Albany Street Department used 175-tons of salt by 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday and even more trucks dumping salt continued after. The Street Department worked with police to spot treat problem areas.
