(WHAS11) -- Family members are mourning as they seek answers surrounding the death of a 16-year-old girl from Oldham County.
Summer Williams was found unresponsive early Sunday morning while spending the night at a friend's house in La Grange.
Summer Leigh William's family members say she was an avid photographer, who treasured memories of hiking trips at Red River Gorge.
She was studying culinary arts through the Career Center at Oldham County High School until her sudden death over the weekend.
"The juvenile was found deceased at a residence during the early morning hours Sunday," La Grange Police Spokesperson Joe Wakefield said.
Police say Summer was staying with a friend at 502 Monroe St. when she was found unresponsive and not breathing.
The Oldham County Coroner's Office says no cause of death has been determined and results likely won't be available for several weeks.
People who live near the home where Summer was found dead say there has been a lot of activity in the neighborhood since Summer's death.
"There's been a whole lot of police coming in and out," neighbor David Whittamore said.
The activity was focused on 502 Monroe St., where Summer was found and 506 Monroe St., where police conducted a drug raid.
"We did find some narcotics, paraphernalia and some items that could be stolen property, “ Wakefield said.
Police arrested Crystal Bray and Damone Jones at the residence on drug charges.
They are still looking for Ronnell Trice.
At this time, there is no known connection between the drug raid and Summer's death.
"We are working them both together to see if they are related," Wakefield said.
Summer's Family issued the following statement:"Our family is overwhelmed with grief and sorrow with Summers passing. Our entire family wants to thank our community, friends, neighbors, her classmates and even complete strangers for their generosity, support and love during our darkest hour. We feel your love and it is helping us through our grief. We will always carry Summer in our hearts, she was a beautiful soul and we will celebrate her life every day."
The family is asking for donations to the Summer Williams Memorial Fund in lieu of flowers.
Donations can be made at any branch of PNC Bank.
