(WHAS11)-In San Francisco, hundreds of people marched downtown to protest the war in Iraq.

Many held signs showing their frustration at the war that began seven years ago.

In 2003, then President George W. Bush ordered the U-S led invasion into the middle eastern country.

More than four-thousand American troops have died since the war began.

There was also a protest outside the white house in Washington, D-C. At least eight people were arrested there.
