Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - This edition of Positively Kentuckiana focuses on a day of action for Metro United Way.
Monday they started to "stuff the bus" in a program to help kindergarteners in Louisville and Southern Indiana get prepared for the start of the school year this fall.
The Metro United Way is collecting backpacks and school supplies for $2,500 new kindergarteners and stuffing them on a TARC bus.
“It's a fun way to help people out, help kids out, and get off to a positive start and that's important to us because one of our long range goals for the community is to have all our kids arrive at kindergarten ready to be successful in school and in life,” said
President and CEO of Metro United Way Joe Tolan.
Metro United Way will be taking donations all summer.
