(WHAS11) - Indiana State Police are waiting for autopsy results following the death of a 2-year-old boy.
Jacob Lord of Austin, Indiana was taken by his mother to Scott Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning with serious injuries.
He was then transferred to Kosair Children's Hospital where he died Wednesday evening.
“After we get some autopsy results and we find out some further information, if it leads us in another direction, obviously, you know immediately we'll be switching gears and heading our investigation in that direction,” says Sgt. Jerry Goodin of the Indiana State Police.
