Kentucky State Police detectives have been interviewing family members and associates of Abdullah White, 35, who is a prime suspect involved with a Larue County homicide.
Police believe he is in or around the LaRue County area.
White has been on the run since Friday after he was seen driving Kristie Allen's car.
Allen was found dead inside a Buffalo home she was house sitting near Hodgenville that evening.
Police have made two arrests in connection with the homicide. Police say White is the only suspect involved in the case they are looking for at the time.
"We want him apprehended as quickly as possible, not only for the safety of the public, but also for the safety of the suspect as well as the police officers who may encounter him," said Norman Chaffins with the Kentucky State Police.
White was released from prison last spring after serving 15 years for killing a man when he was 17-years-old, which is a concern for April Revels of Elizabethtown who is on a heightened alert.
"I have four kids," said Revels. "So, I keep my doors locked."
White is supposed to report to his parole officer once a month. But, police say he hasn't done that since November.
Police say anyone caught hiding White or interfering with his arrest will face felony charges and 1-5 years in prison.
