(WHAS11) - A prominent restaurant owner is on home incarceration over the historic property sitting next to his restaurant.
A judge ordered Frank Faris to give away the 100 year old home next to Genny's Diner for free. He was ordered to do so due to code violations on the home.
Faris has not yet complied with the judge’s order, so on April 1, the judge ordered fairs to two weeks of home incarceration with 80 hours of work release a week.
Faris had plans to tear the home down to make room for more parking for Genny’s Diner, but was stopped because the building is a historic property.
The judges set another hearing for Faris on April 15th.
