COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- A northern Kentucky county is weighing extending a smoking ban to include the inside of all county-owned buildings.
The Kentucky Enquirer reports that Kenton County Fiscal Court will consider an ordinance in December to extend the ban.
Smoking is now prohibited inside the Kenton County administration building and the state-operated justice center.
The proposed legislation would extend the current smoking ban in the county administration building to all county-owned buildings, including the public works department, the county courthouse in Independence and the clubhouse at the Kenton County golf courses.
