(WHAS11) - A New Albany, Indiana woman has until 3:00 Friday afternoon to find foster homes for some 41 dogs.
This comes after a decision by the Floyd County Animal Shelter board Thursday night.
There was a heated exchange between the director of the Animal Protection Association and a supporter of Katherine Fraze.
Both spoke out during the hearing in which Fraze was asking for her dogs back.
Animal Control took them away after a couple was bitten.
The board ruled that Fraze could have her dogs back if she paid a more than $3,000 quarrantine fee and under the condition that they would not return to her property.
If Fraze cannot find foster homes for the dogs they will become property of the New Albany/Floyd County Animal Shelter.
