(WHAS11) -- Kentuckiana escaped winter for the most part but the lack of snow and cold temperatures has not been easy for those who suffer from allergies.
Allergists say a mild winter can mean an early allergy season.
Doctors say those who are allergic to tree pollen are already reporting symptoms.
Most spring allergies usually do not start until late March when the trees begin to bloom.
Recent studies have also shown that warmer temperatures could prolong ragweed season by 15 days a month.
