LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Some local chefs and restaurants are up for one of the biggest honors in the food industry-- the James Beard Award.
Semi-finalists for the prestigious award were just announced. Chef Edward Lee of 610 Magnolia is up for Best Chef in the southeast category.
Lee made it into the top five on this season of Bravo's "Top Chef".
Also nominated in that category is Anthony Lamas from Seviche.
Lee and Lamas were also named semi-finalists in 2011. The finalists will be announced March 19 and the awards will be given out in May.
Aslo nominated for Best New Restaurant was Harvest on East Market Street, a farm-to-table restaurant.
