FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Highway crews are treating roads across Kentucky that have been impacted by light snow and ice.
A statement from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet on Monday says crews are spot-treating roads in 48 counties in the central, northern and eastern portions of the state.
Acting Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock says it is "our first taste of wintry weather" and reminds motorists to use caution, especially on bridges and overpasses, which typically freeze before roadways.
