Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Police are investigating the case of 4-month-old twins who were abused.

One of the boys, Braiden, is now out of the hospital while the community rallies around the other, Aiden, who is still in critical condition.

He is being tested for brain activity at Kosair Children’s Hospital.  Doctors say that his situation is not looking good at this time.  Aiden is currently on life support.

Authorities tell WHAS11 News that even though Braiden was released from the hospital, he did show signs of previous abuse.

Wednesday night, many people gathered to hold a vigil outside of the hospital.

Family and friends of the family are devastated at this time.

18-year-old Samuel Harris, the boyfriend of the babies’ mother is charged with assault but that charge will be upgraded to murder if Aiden does not survive his injuries.

Family members say he admitted to throwing Aiden on a couch and shaking him in a Bullitt county trailer earlier this week.
