(WHAS11)- Beginning Monday, the H1N1 vaccine will be available for the general public in Louisville.

The health department says it will offer clinics for three weeks at several area locations.

You must schedule an appointment.

The vaccine will also be available at family health center sites, and several stores in the area.

Health Officials say vaccination is still important since a second wave of the H1N1 virus is still possible.

Doctor Troutman says the clinics are also a chance for your child to get the recommend second shot.

The clinics will be held at the Urban Government Center, the Middletown fire station and the Pleasure Ridge Park fire station.

If you would like more information, you can call the local H1N1 hotline at 568-H1N1.

And in Indiana, the H1N1 influenza vaccine is also available to anyone who would like to get it.

Monday in Clark County, you can get vaccinated between two and seven at the old Kmart on Blackiston Mill Road in Clarksville.

For all other locations in Indiana you can call 877-826-0011
