Hodgenville, Ky. (WHAS11)- There was no school at Abraham Lincoln Elementary in LaRue County Wednesday.
Students and staff had the day off to attend the funeral of the school's principal.
Amber Thurman, 47, was laid to rest at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
She lost control of her car and crashed into an embankment near Hodgenville on Saturday.
She had just dropped off her son for a high school trip.
The funeral is being held at the First Baptist Church in Hodgenville.
