Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11)- A 4-year-old boy died at Kosair Children’s Hospital on Friday after his mother's boyfriend allegedly abused him.
Johnny Juliot, 29, also known as Johnny Coke was arrested Thursday and is charged with murder.
Police say he was watching the boy Wednesday when the alleged abuse happened.
The boy suffered three skull fractures and bruises to his scrotum, back, buttocks, face and neck.
He was rushed to Kosair's Children's Hospital for emergency surgery, but later pronounced dead.
Cathy Milliner, the grandmother of James Anthony Hack, says it is a devastating loss for her family.
“His skull was fractured. He had bruises on his forehead. Two of his little bottom teeth were knocked out,” said Milliner.
The boy’s grandmother says she is determined to make sure her grandson does not die in vain.
“We've got a 4-year-old angel that's gone, and to my dying day I will try my best to make sure that there's not another family go through what our family did,” said Milliner.
