CYNTHIANA, Ky. (AP) -- Former University of Kentucky basketball player Ed Davender has pleaded guilty in a UK game tickets scam.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reported Davender entered guilty pleas to three counts of theft by deception on Tuesday in Harrison Circuit Court at Cynthiana. He received placement in a diversion program for five years.
Commonwealth's Attorney Douglas Miller said Davender must repay $2,100 he accepted for UK tickets and could go to prison for two years if he doesn't complete the diversion program.
The charges stem from 2004 incidents.
Davender entered a not guilty plea Jan. 4 in Fleming County, where he faces two felony counts of theft. He also faces charges in Fayette County.
