Former UK basketball player pleads guilty to involvement in ticket scam

(WHAS11) A former University of Kentucky basketball player is pleading guilty for his involvement in a ticket scam.
 

43-year-old Ed Davender accepted a plea deal in Fleming County on one count of felony theft by deception.
 

He was accused of taking money for two UK men’s basketball season tickets, but never producing the tickets.
 

Davender will be sentenced April 16.  He has pleaded guilty to other counts of theft in Harrison County and 23 counts of theft are also pending against him in Fayette County.
 

Ed Davender was a guard for UK in the 1980s.
