LARUE COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kristie Allen's father David Allen says hearing the news that the prime suspect in his daughter's murder Abdullah White is now behind bars is something he has been waiting for.

Tips led police to the Econo Lodge in Okolona late Wednesday night. White, 35, was found and arrested in one of the hotel rooms.

White had been on the run ever since Allen was found dead inside a house in Buffalo, Ky. last Friday night.

Allen had been house-sitting for friends. Allen's family says Abdullah White and Kristie were friends, and knew White had just been released from prison after serving 12 years for killing a man when he was 17.

"Did she make a bad decision, yes, but she didn't deserve what she got because of it,” said David Allen.

Investigators say jewelry and electronics were stolen from the house.

Witnesses say they saw White and 19-year-old Samantha Kolley take off from the crime scene in Allen's car. Kolley and another woman, Belinda Martin were arrested over the weekend on theft charges. Allen's family says they do not know the two women.

No one has been charged with Kristie Allen's murder as of Thursday.

White is being held on theft and burglary charges and had an outstanding fugitive warrant out of Tenn.

Police say in a matter of days more charges including murder will most likely be coming for White when the case will go to the Grand Jury next week.

If you would like to donate to the fund set up in Kristie Allen's honor go to any Citizen Union Bank. The fund is under the name Family Worship Center.  All of the money will help pay for funeral costs.
