Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - WHAS11 News has learned of a fatal accident at 15th and Broadway involving a car and a van.
According to authorities, the accident occurred at approximately 10:00 Tuesday morning.
The crash involved two vehicles that were traveling eastbound on west Broadway.
A green minivan from Dismas Charities hit black ice under the viaduct at 15th and Broadway and started to spin, a gold Toyota that was traveling behind it then hit the van in the rear, basically pushing it into one of the pillars of the viaduct.
Seven people total were transported to university hospital, six in the van, and one in the car. One person from the van died.
