(WHAS11) - A Louisville police detective under investigation has been placed on administrative duty.
Detective Crystal Marlowe allegedly accused people of crimes they couldn't have committed.
Police say some of the suspects she accused in crimes were in jail when the crimes occurred and because of the new charges, some sat in jail for months before being exonerated.
Detective Marlowe was placed on administrative leave last week and told not to make arrests.
She's been reassigned to a job in crime prevention.
