(WHAS11)--A news conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday where it is expected the Kentucky Derby Museum will announce a re-opening date.
The museum is making progress three months after the August flash flooding and has been close since.
Lyn Ashton, Kentucky Derby Museum executive director, said they know when they will re-open.
Monday, deconstruction crews began taking apart the main part of the museum. They said everything must come out so repairs can be made.
Every exhibit on the main floor was damaged in the flood causing more than $4 million worth of damage.
