(WHAS11) - All four charged in connection with the murder of a mother and her son appeared in court Monday with a heavy police presence.
 

Marcus Greene and Zachary Kilgore are both charged with the murder of Diana Wood and her son Steve Wood junior.
 

The shooting happened earlier this month at the Whispering Woods apartment complex.
 

Laquita Townsend is charged with complicity to murder and Dacica Greene is charged with tampering with evidence.
 

Townsend was released on bond but was taken back into custody Monday.
 

Police have yet to say who the triggerman is in the case.
 

They will all be back in court in January.
