Louisville, Ky. (WHAS)--During the 2009-2010 school year nearly 6,000 students and their families were serviced through the Jefferson County Public Schools 15 th district PTA Clothing Assistance Program (CAP).

For 30 years, CAP has provided new and gently used clothing to needy children who attend JCPS schools.  Families who qualify receive a new school uniform and are able to "shop" for gently used uniforms and clothing for the entire family.

Paula Wolf, CAP director, said the program is always in need of donations and volunteers.

The goal is to assist 10,000 students this year.

For more information call 502-485-7062.  CAP is located at 319 S. 15th St., Louisville, Ky.
