Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The University of Louisville is trying to cut its carbon footprint and they say free bikes could be the answer.
University officials are trying out a new project that would give students and faculty free bikes if they give up their parking space for two years.
On Tuesday, students and faculty had a short test ride on several bike models. They were asked to rate the bikes.
Motorists who commute to campus generate 9% of the school's greenhouse gas emissions.
