Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11)- Wendell Bowen is a funny guy, but he is serious about sculpting with scraps.
Wendell uses only recycled materials, most of it found in the garbage cans around Butler High School.
Wendell creates abstract designs, featuring hanging sculptures, colorful artwork and even useful things like a bouncy cat toy.
He enjoys showing students his line of unique creations. He hopes students can renew their mind and take away a new perspective.
Wendell hopes to someday sell some of his pieces, but for now wants to continue talking about his work at schools.
Who knows, maybe he will end up on Oprah with his unique creations.
