Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Tens of thousands of trees were lost or damaged during the 2008 windstorm and the ice storm of 2009, which hurt Kentucky's eco-system.
In 2009, LG&E and KU created ‘Plant for the Planet’, which is a program designed to plant trees in urban areas and forests.
