LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- In Project Green the Kentucky Center is making improvements to be as green as possible.
The center has put together a green team to come up with ways to maximize energy efficiency.
So far LED lights have been installed in 60 percent of the Center's non-theatrical space and low-flow water faucets have been installed in bathrooms and in backstage showers.
The Center has also started a recycling program to recycle show programs, metal, cardboard and other recyclable materials.
"We all realize we've got a commitment of responsibility to the community and one of those responsibilities is through energy efficiency,” Rob Thomas with the Kentucky Center, said. “We're all really committed to the program."
