(WHAS11)  Energy bills often rise along with the summer temperatures, but this week’s Project Green focuses on tips for cutting your air conditioning costs.

Keep the thermostat around 78 degrees when you’re at home and raise it a little when you leave the house.  Keep lamps, television sets and other appliances away from thermostats if possible, because they can absorb heat and make the air conditioner run longer than necessary.
