(WHAS11)- A Florida company is exploring the possibility of bringing more green energy to Kentucky.
NextEra Energy Resources has done some research in Mason and Bracken counties in northern Kentucky and has determined that the area could support wind turbines.
If the company decides to come to Kentucky they would bring with them a $180 million investment.
That would translate into $32 million in property tax revenue in the first 25 years.
