(WHAS11)- Kentucky and Indiana are both named among the top 10 toxic states when it comes to power plant emissions.
Ohio tops the list, but Kentucky is number four and Indiana number 6.
The study by the Natural Resources Defense Council ranked the states by air pollution from coal and oil fired power plants.
The report calls power plants the single largest industrial source of toxic air pollution in 28 states.
