More opportunities to assist those in need of tornado disaster relief:

 

NuLu Tornado Relief Charity Shopping Event Head out to Nulu from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, March 9, and you'll find various businesses in the East Market and Main district are donating proceeds from your purchases to Dare to Care's tornado relief efforts. Some examples: Spend cash at Red Tree or Swanson Reed Contemporary and they'll give a monetary donation for 40% of what you spent. Scout, Ghyslain, Gifthorse and Barry Wooley Designs are among those who will donate 10% to the relief efforts. Other businesses involved include Peace of the Earth, Garage Bar, Flo, Hudson Home, Bluegrass Green Co., Harvest, Taste Fine Wines & Spirits, Cake Flour and Bodega.

 

Helping Henryville & Beyond

Wick's in New Albany hosts Helping Henryville & Beyond on Friday, March 9. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Eleven bands will play at this benefit that will aid Henryville Community Church and other Southern Indiana organizations assisting with tornado disaster relief. Admission is a $20 donation. 

 

The Bard's Town Cares With Karaoke

Come kick it with the kings and queens of karaoke Saturday, March 10, at The Bard's Town, 1801 Bardstown Road. A $10 donation is requested to participate. The singing starts at 9 a.m.

 

Southern Indiana Tornado Relief Concert

The Southern Indiana Tornado Relief Concert will bring together more than 40 bands (on 4 stages) from all over the area to rock Silver Creek High School in Sellersburg 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 11. Admission is $10 -- even for performers and volunteers.

 

Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods, 4944 Shelbyville Road,  is collecting donations for the Red Cross as well as donations of non-perishable food items and household supplies. Visit Whole Foods’ GIVING GRILL over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday, this weekend and next weekend); all  proceeds will benefit Tornado Relief for Southern Indiana and Kentucky. Whole Foods is also providing dinner to volunteers at Henryville Community Church Monday night.

 

Crayons for Hope

102.3 The Max and Panera Bread have partnered on a community-wide collection of school supplies for the children of Henryville, Indiana. The Lambert & Lindsey Show kicked off the endeavor at 6 a.m. March 9. Your donations will be accepted through March 16 at all Panera Bread locations.
