Spinach Swamp Dip, other Halloween treats

SPINACH SWAMP DIP:

Ingredients:

1-10 -ounce box of frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained

5 ounces reduced fat cream cheese

1 tablespoon heavy cream

3/4 cup reduced fat sour cream

1/4 cup water chestnuts, chopped

4 green onions, chopped finely (green and white part)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

 

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a blender at medium low speed and blend until it comes together. 

Scrape mixture into a seving bowl and chill at least three hours. Serve with "black cat crackers"(blue corn tortilla chips).  If it thickens, add a teaspoon of milk at a time and stir.

**to get all of the moisture from the spinach, wrap in clean paper towels and squeeze before adding in with remaining ingredients.
