Cabbage Salad
Slaw Dressing:
2 cups sugar
2 cups vinegar
1 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Bring above ingredients to a boil, stir until sugar is dissolved and all is well blended. Remove from stove. Stir in 1/4 cup Dijon or spicy brown mustard and 1/4 cup hot sauce.
Slaw:
2 bags of shredded cabbage or 1 large head cabbage grated or chopped in small pieces
1 large red or purple onion, sliced
1 diced red bell pepper
2 large grated carrots
1/2 cup chopped jalepenos
Mix up all the slaw ingredients, then pour the dressing over all. Add teaspoon of crushed celery seed and mix together well.
Chill at least 2 hours.
