LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A koala is rescued after suffering burns it caught in an Australian brush fire.
The koala was clinging to a charred tree in Port Lincoln. A passerby saw the little bear and and offered it some water.
According to fire officials, no one has died in the fire, but it has taken a large toll on wildlife in the area.
Dozens of buildings, including a home and vacation cabins, have been destroyed. The flames have also destroyed thousands of acres.
Port Lincoln is about 200 miles outside the capital city of Adelaide.
