The411 with Sherlene Shanklin: The Louisville Palace just released that the King of R&B, R. Kelly will be in concert. The Grammy award singer-songwriter will be in concert Wednesday, November 14th at 7:30 p.m. The Chicago, Illinois native has a major collection of hits with songs like "Bump n' Grind", "Your Body's Callin'", "I Believe I Can Fly", "Gotham City", "Ignition"the Remix, "If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time", "The World's Greatest", "I'm a Flirt", and the hip-hopera "Trapped in the Closet". In 1998, Kelly won three Grammy Awards for "I Believe I Can Fly".
One of his latest appearances that many of his fans will remember is that he was at the late Whitney Houston's funeral where he was asked to sing during the service.
Kelly is not coming alone, four-time Grammy award nominee singer-songwriter Tamia will open his show. She is best known for her 2001 single "Stranger in My House". She also married to Los Angeles Clipper Grant Hill. You may also remember, Tamia was diagnosed in 2003 with Multiple sclerosis and she continues to have a positive and pro-active outlook on the controlling the disease.
Tickets for the R. Kelly concert will go on sale this Friday, October 5th at 12 noon. Tickets range from $49.50 to $89.50.
The concert is Wednesday, November 14th at the Louisville Palace at 7:30 p.m.
