‘The Roof Rounds' showcases local singers, songwriters

Local singers, songwriters showcase music

LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- There's no shortage of musical talent in Louisville and on Wednesday night some of that talent will be showcased at a local singer/songwriter event.

"The Roof Rounds" is an opportunity for artists from around the area to play their original music at the Tin Roof in St. Matthews.

Ten singer/songwriters will perform.  The host of the "The Roof Rounds,” Chad Graham, said the event is all about showing off the local sounds of Louisville.

“It's kind of a takeoff on an idea that other cities have done across the country that are self-proclaimed music cities. I'm very proud of Louisville music so I think we are the music city but we're putting a Louisville spin on an old idea,” Graham said.

Graham said the goal is to hold “The Roof Rounds” once a month to give as many local artists as possible the chance to shine.

The event starts at 9 p.m. on Wednesday and is free for anyone to attend.
