Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey A lot of viewers will be tuning in to "American Idol" early next year not only to see the contestants go head-to-head but the two new judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey. In October, a video surfaced of Minaj launching a curse-filled rant at Carey during "Idol" auditions in Charlotte, N.C. In the video obtained by TMZ.com, rapper Minaj, 29, was caught lobbing F-bombs at pop diva Carey, 42, referring to her at one point as "her f***ing highness." Carey later told Barbara Walters on "The View" that, after her rant, Minaj was overheard saying, "If I had a gun, I would shoot the b****." Carey told Walters that she "doesn't feel comfortable emotionally" but will continue with the Fox show and has hired extra security. Minaj tweeted in response: "Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho. Lol @ the struggle. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence."
