NEW YORK (AP) -- This could explain why Anne Hathaway got so upset singing "I Dreamed A Dream" in "Les Miz." Hathaway got into the character of Fantine (fan-TEEN') by researching women sold into sexual slavery. She dedicated her performance to one woman in particular who she met. Hathaway says the woman kept repeating "I come from a good family" and then made "the most despairing gesture" she had ever seen. Hathaway says "this woman deserves to have her voice heard" and she did it through her role as Fantine.
