-The boy band One Direction stole fans hearts during the MTV Video Music Awards. The teens won three awards, including "Best Pop Video" and "Best New Artist." The biggest prize of the night, "Video of the Year," went to Rihanna for her hit "We Found Love."
-Also at the VMA's rising star Psy made an appearance alongside host Kevin Hart. He has over 100 million hits YouTube for his video "Gangnam Style." He's been a star in Korea for the past 10 years, but is just now taking off in the USA.
-Comedic couple Will Arnett and Amy Poehler are calling it quits. A rep for Arnett confirms the two are splitting after nine years of marriage. The couple has two young sons.
-Katie Holmes is getting into the beauty business. In an interview with Women's Wear Daily the actress revealed a multi-year partnership with Bobbi Brown cosmetics. She'll appear in an advertising campaign next spring for the Fall 2013 collection.
-TMZ is reporting reality star Khloe Kardashian is the front-runner to become the X Factor host. The website says creator Simon Cowell believes she makes the most sense in terms of audience draw. The judges include Demi Lovato and Britney Spears.
-The Hollywood Reporter says the family of the seven-year-old beauty queen known as "Honey Boo Boo" is making between $2,000 and $4,000 per episode of their TLC reality series. Her mother though told TMZ the family makes more than a few thousand per episode. TLC says they do not comment on salaries.
